Day One Direct Aid (DODA)

• Day One Direct Aid (DODA) is the community aid and outreach division of Day One Treasures.  DODA utilizes a separate Day One Treasures account to provide direct financial aid to those in dire and immediate need.
• Applicants must submit an application for review before any decision is made on approval of funds disbursement.
• DODA is privately funded through sales profit splits and donations from community members.
• 100% of approved DODA funds are disbursed directly from a Day One Treasures representative to the applicant*

• DODA is not a loan.  There is no obligation or expectation to repay any funds received through the DODA program.

• .Must explain why you need aid and list any other avenues you have attempted for help.
• Must specify a specific dollar amount you are requesting AND what it will be used for.
• Must verbally agree to pay it forward when your own situation improves.

• Alcohol/Drug & Other Addictions
  • If applicant is active in any type of addiction, no direct payment will be made to applicant.  Rather, payment will be made on behalf of applicant (ie- we will pay your power bill directly to your provider).
• DODA funds may NOT be used for any of the following:
  • Alcohol, tobacco, drugs of ANY kind (legal prescriptions excluded)
  • Child support, alimony, or any court imposed fines/fees/restitution
  • Attorney/legal fees
  • Non-essentials.  We will help with your NEEDS.  You can take care of your own WANTS.
• Abuse of DODA funds may result in a suspension from accessing further financial assistance.  We will always provide networking services regardless.
• Any threats of and/or physical violence of any kind directed towards any Day One Treasures staff member will result in authorities being contacted and a 2-year ban from all Day One Treasures services.  We believe in second chances, however this is our red line.  We will not tolerate aggression - period.

DODA is a privately funded program.  Our funds are limited and we can only work with what we have available.
